CORPORATE LAW UPDATE: MAY-JUNE 2016
1.Company Law Board Dissolved:
The Company Law Board stands dissolved with and with effect from June 1, 2016, the National Company Law Tribunal has been constituted. The location of the benches and postal address is mentioned in Circular dated June 7, 2016 issued by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
2. Constitution of three members Committee to oversee Government Advertising:
As per the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court vide order dated 13.05.2015 and 18.03.2016 in writ petition no. 13 of 2003 and writ petition (civil) 302 of 2012, a three member committee has been constituted has been constituted to oversee the content regulation of Government Advertising. The Committee comprises of Shri B.B. Tandon (Former CEC); Shri Rajat Sharma (Chairman and Editor of India TV) and President of News Broadcasters Associations; Mr. Piyush Pandey (Executive Chairman and Creative Director, South Asia, Ogilvy and Mather)
3. Limited Liability Partnership Rules, 2009:
Vide Notification dated June 10, 2016, the Central Government has made following rules to further amend the LLP Rules, 2009:
(i) In form 2, the name of the nominee has been added in both part A and B.
(ii) Changes in Form-3, 4 and 11
