India’s Outward Foreign Direct Investment (OFDI) dropped to $1.85 billion in the month of February 2016 as against $2.92 billion in the same month of last year.

According do the data provided by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), outward investments in equity, loan and guaranteed issue stood at $471.5 million, $252.8 million and 1.12 billion in the given month as against $327.7 million, $266.16 million and $2.33 billion in the same month of last year, respectively.

RBI said that the outward investments in the month of January 2016 stood at $1.54 billion in equity, $193 million in loan and $1.41 billion in guarantee issue in the month of January 2016, thereby registering a fall from a total of $3.14 billion to $1.85 billion in February 2016.
